This is the best foundation I have ever used. It goes on so well and blends perfectly. Porcelain is perfect for my pale skin. I only have to blot once a day which is saying alot for my very oily skin. Will buy again and again!!

Benefits: natural looking, hides imperfections
I have never gotten so many compliments on my skin as I have while using this foundation. I take very good care of my skin (the benefits of having an esthetician as a sister-in-law) but I still have uneven skin tone and some pigmentation. This creates a natural finish while covering the imperfections. I'm so happy I found this product.

I have used this foundation for years..I tried it once in the store shopped for a few hrs came back and bought it ..and have used it for many years nothing to compare on the market today

This smooths and blends perfectly, and requires only a small amount to cover well. I give it only four stars because offering it for $85 is a bit extreme.

my best foundation

I found that it works better with the smaller amount of this wonderful product on your face (two pumps for the face and neck). My skin becomes even and better looking with matte finish, and my face is so much better looking now! (The problem with previous foundations with matte finish was that my face looked dull and I had a feeling of wearing a mask.)

A little goes a long way

Benefits: flawless smooth matte finish
One or two pumps mixed with primer "sets" my skin for all day smoothness. Product evens out skin tone and provides a matte finish. I even put a tiny bit under my eyes before concealer, so I don't have to use as much to cover my circles and fine lines. I have tried substituting similar drugstore products, but none compare.

This stuff looks flaky, doesn't blend & feels cheap. Worst $120 cdn I've ever spent. I'll just have to stick with La Mer moisturisers only & not anything else from their line. I must return this product now!

First, this is def. not a paid solicitation or whatever. I almost didn't bother reviewing this because there are no freebies offered, plus you have to login first to post. But I decided Karma mandates this.
This is the best foundation I've ever used, bar none. A small amount is all you seem to need. And it really, really covers up most imperfection and renders a naturally flawless look to your face! My complexion is not good at all. Big oily pores...sigh. But using this foundation made me feel pretty.
What I like best is that it doesn't cake/flake. Maybe that's the moisturizer in the foundation.
Anyway this is actually my favourite La Mer product so far. I've been using the standard lotion for years, tried to cutback and buy cheaper substitute last year but it just didn't feel the same. So here I am, back at La Mer using more products lol.
ONLY CON: Can't really match skin tone! There should be a swatch or something sent to the customer...Charge $10 to send out the swatch/sampler but gives $8 as credit on your next purchase or something.

No kidding....This foundation is fabulous. It goes on smoothly and stays ALL day. No creasing, smudging, or caking. LOVE IT! It is a bit pricey for foundation, but worth it

i can't even begin to list the greatness of this foundation: It is light, but covers, it's smooth and silky, moisturizing but not greasy, you need only the TINIEST amount and the color is perfect. I've only taken the time to write a couple reviews in my life, and this is one of them.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LAMER, I HAVE USED MANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS AND AM PRESENTLY TRYING SOME NEW ONES. I RECENTLY CAME BACK TO USING THIS FOUNDATION AND I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT. I ALSO LOVE HOW UPON APPLICATION , THIS FOUNDATION INSTANTLY GIVES YOUR SKIN A PICK ME UP AND A GLOW. I REALLY LOVE THAT YOU HAVE THE WONDERFUL LAMER SKINCARE BENEFITS ALSOAND YOU GET A TREATMENT AS WELL AS A LOVELY GLOWING LOOK TO YOUR SKIN. I WOULD NOT WANT TO APPLY ANY OTHER FOUNDATION OVER MY LAMER SKINCARE BUT LAMER FOUNDATION, SIMPLY THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have very sensitive skin which has caused me to go through more brands of skincare than i care to think about - you name it, i have tried it. i've never been satisfied with any foundation until i made the decision to purchase La Mer. The price is a bit high, but I'm a firm believer in taking care of your skin, especially you face/neck area, so after spending more than $200 on foundation alone over a period of 2 years, I decided to purchase La Mer and save myself the greif of agonizing over more money wasted on yet another brand that didn't meet expectations. I am 25 years old with pretty problem free skin, but in going through previous products i was always concious of how i broke out a few days after using a new foundation. I have used the La Mer foundation in the jar, but I love the foundation in the pump just because the application of it makes it go on smoother and i believe more evenly since i no longer have to stick my fingertips in the jar.
This foundation is flawless - it goes on extremely smooth, is very light, and I only need the smallest amount to apply to my skin. I actually feel like I'm applying another layer of moisturizer on my face rather than makeup - it's that light, airy and silky/smooth in feel. this is what i most love about the foundation - i never feel like i'm wearing make up. i also love how it looks without any other makeup (powders, blushes, etc) applied over top. i constantly go out of the house in only my foundation because i really feel good about the way my skin looks naturally now that i have something that enhances it and doesn't make me look 'made up.' this is important to me only because i have light freckles on my entire face, and while they do not bother me at all, my skin tone is not even because of this, so it's nice to finally have even complexion without the layers of a lot of makeup. i also think it makes my skin glow which i love and have never had with a foundation alone (i've always had to apply illuminzing powder to give my face a little glow).
i also find that any make up i apply overtop of it (powders, blushes, eye shadow, etc) there's no problem. because the foundation itself feels like a moisturizer, i think my makeup actually applies smoother and lasts longer. you only need a very little - like half a pump to apply. but it's very easy to add a little bit more to your face if you want, and it won't feel heavy and gross.
i wish the price was a bit cheaper, but you do get what you pay for, and this is an excellent product. this is my 2nd time purchasing it, and i won't ever switch to another brand. when it comes to skincare, we already know that La Mer is the best or one of the best, and their skincolor line is no exception. it's a great investment, and i don't mind shelling out the money every 6 months because the investment is so worth it. foundation to me is everything, you need to be satisfied and 100% happy with your foundation and the way it feels on your skin and the way you feel wearing it.

This foundation creates an absolutely flawless appearance. Love to mix it with the SPF 18 Fluid Tint to "thin" the foundation a bit. Worth every penny.
